Olive pressing is the most anticipated time of the year, and at the Monte Pisano Oil Mill, we’re buzzing with excitement!
Since olive pressing will begin on September 29, to celebrate this date together, we have organized with the Pro Loco of Agnano and Pro Loco of Uliveto Terme three days full of events, tastings, meetings, and shows: the 2025 New Oil Festival.
We look forward to seeing you on September 26, 27, and 28 at the Monte Pisano Oil Mill, Loc. Caprona, Via Provinciale Vicarese 28, with a calendar full of events that we describe below.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

Guided educational visit to the Oil Mill and production line for Primary and Secondary school classes from Calci and Vicopisano. - 6:00 PM – Oil Mill Conference Room
Conference “The Value of Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Health, Sports, Childhood”
Presented by Dr. Giovanni Gravina, endocrinologist and director of the San Rossore Clinic.
An informative meeting combining science and nutrition to discover the benefits of extra virgin olive oil.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

Open Mill – guided tours of the production line, tastings and samplings, space dedicated to producers with information about the new oil season and Mill projects, pressing reservations. - 7:00 PM

Dinner and comedy show in Pisan dialect with “I Dicche” company.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28

“The Olive Road”
A walking tour from Calci Town Square to the Monte Pisano Oil Mill to rediscover the history, tradition, and life of Monte Pisano olive growers through past, present, and future.
Arrival and visit to the Oil Mill. - Followed by: opening of the Food Stand “At the table with new oil” – Traditional dishes seasoned with freshly pressed oil, prepared by the Pro Loco of Agnano.

Throughout the festival, visitors can view the “Exact Indefinite” exhibition by Elena Rossi aka Ilgeko, displayed in the Mill premises.
All events will take place even in case of bad weather, thanks to the mill’s covered spaces.

The New Oil Festival will allow participants to see firsthand the renovated facilities of the mill’s entire production line, and it will be possible to book olive pressing sessions for this olive season. It will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the ongoing equity crowdfunding project, a participatory, transparent, and accessible growth model that allows anyone who wishes to become a partner in the mill.
