Frantoio del Monte Pisano offers a “wide range of training services dedicated to olive growers and people who generally want to approach the world of” olive growing. We also frequently host conferences and training days organized within the context of funded projects.
During the months of the “year that don’t fall within the olive pressing period, the” company organizes training events, conferences, and professional courses. These events are specifically designed to disseminate cutting-edge techniques and best practices, created to increase the number of specialized operators in the area and to support the work of those olive growers who wish to obtain a high-quality product that is genuine and respectful of the “environment and its resources. The training and refresher courses range from olive grove reformation and pruning to soil management and nutrition, from plant fertilization to defense against major diseases.”
Tasting courses, introduction to tasting techniques, and experiential events are also organized to enhance and pair the aromas of “olive oil with” art, cuisine, and music.

Throughout the year, the oil mill holds courses on pruning, olive grove management, reclamation, and recovery of olive groves no longer in production. Good pruning stimulates flowering, fruiting, and ensures longevity to the plants, improving harvest quality and reducing the risk of diseases.
The oil mill offers training courses for both beginners and experienced pruners with dedicated programs and activities.
The courses are held at the oil mill, in our olive groves, or, upon request, at other olive groves and farms.

Introduction Day to Olive Growing
The oil mill has created a free educational format that has the “objective of helping children understand the” importance of “olive growing on Monte Pisano and that focuses” attention on caring for the territory and proper nutrition.
The visit is structured as follows:
- Sending an informative brochure about olive oil production to the school to support teachers who will prepare the children for the visit.
- Arrival of the children and welcome by the mill owner who, together with an educator, introduces the visit.
- Viewing of a cartoon that illustrates the different phases of olive harvesting and processing in the oil mill.
- Discussion with the children and description of the processing.
- Visit to the facility and questions.
- Viewing of a video recorded during the pressing period so that children can see and understand how the machines work.
- Snack of bread and oil.
- Total duration: 2 hours.
